Innerpimp is a clothing company based in San Jose was seeking a design for a mailer that would best appeal to their demographic. The challenge was to design a mailer that would appeal to their current demographic as well as appealing to another set of clients. Taking note that their sales were mostly female based, I chose a design that would appeal to the female demographic while, at the same time, promoting all aspects of their clothing line.

Mike Swick is a fighter moving up into the professional ranks in MMA competition. He got a deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) to star in a cable TV show put on by their production company. Mike was seeking a design for a flyer which he could use to pass out to fans for souvenir, autographs, and to promote his TV show. The only image provided was the image of himself. Using image editing software, I was able to incorporate his logo, which I also designed for his web site, into his image.

He was seeking a design for his DVD case that was very sarcastic yet had the look and feel of a big name production company. The design was also carried over into the DVD interface.

DJ Eric F is a club DJ based in Milford, CT. The club flyer was one of many projects that I did for his self promotion. This particular solution was made to promote his DJing at club Gecko and was going to be handed out at bars and night clubs. Due to low level of lighting and many other stimuli in a club and bar setting, I designed his club flyer to stand out as much as possible through using high contrast and bright hues. I also incorporated a 3D look to give the design more flash.

Coach Balano need a poster to promote his summer conditioning clinic. I wanted the solution to really give a sense of athleticism and speed to compliment what athletes would benefit from going to this event. Immaculate's Tomatoes Sauce is a small, out of the home, Italian sauce maker. The design is made for a label that can be applied to the jars. Spot colors where used to decrease the printing costs. the solution was to give this rather small company a powerful commercial identity yet keeping a traditional feel with the product.

This illustration of a dinning room furniture set was later incorporated into a design solution for a local furniture store. The store wanted a mailer to be set to promote their sale on dinning room furniture. Using the illustration verses a photo gave a more unique look to the mailer helping it to stand out more from the photographic mailers. The turn around time from making the illustration to final design was less then a week.

While working for WNHU radio, the station wanted a new identity for their letter heads and promotion pieces. Using spot colors to reduce cost, I came up with a solution that could express the fun and free spirit of the station. The college station had no one format, therefore the solution had to appeal to a large audience.

Harmack was a small tool and die company based in Hamden, CT They were looking to have a logo designed for them since they never had one done. I wanted to give them a solution that had some elements of machining and precision. Keeping the design to two colors and using the horizontal rules accomplished the look by giving a clean look to the over all design. The font chosen was also important to the precision feel.

Die-Tech, a San Jose machine shop, wanted a promotional piece which could be use in meetings with, as well as, a tool for potential clients. The logo provided was of low resolution, therfore it was recreated. The goal of Die-Tech was to have the solution portray them as a bigger company then competing shops. The cover was made in order to show off the parts in which Die-Tech manufactured and the complex image on the bottom. To get the inside content to "pop", I decided to change the background color to give it some depth, carry over elements from the front, and create interest with the typography layout.

Silicon Valley College needed a poster for the Fremont campus to inform students
of the tutoring programming. There were two goals for this solution; it had
to inform students that tutors were available and that tutor positions were
open for students who qualified for work-study. Since there were two goals,
I decided to use a "split" design two show off the two messages better
without having the two competing messages don't interfere with one another.
Since the posters were going to be used in the school, I chose a color scheme
that would stand out from the interior color of the classrooms. Click to see the design
Silicon Valley College was seeking a newsletter to hand out to students to inform them on news and events on the Fremont campus. The design was made so the document could be folded in have for mailing purposes and so the newsletter could be printed in house. The layout was kept simple to give integrity to the content. The header design was made for two reasons. First, it showed off the company which owns the college (U.S. Education). Second, since the school was about to change its identity away from SVC, we needed the header to be useable when the name change came about.
